The 2026 ByteDance Scholarship program is currently welcoming applications, and for the first time, it is extending its reach to students enrolled in universities across the globe, provided they are set to graduate in June 2027 or beyond. It is anticipated that over 20 exceptional candidates will be chosen for this scholarship. Each selected student will be awarded RMB 200,000 to support their research endeavors, while their academic advisors will also receive RMB 100,000 each as a token of appreciation for their guidance. Moreover, scholarship recipients will enjoy priority consideration during campus recruitment processes.

The scholarship is open to students pursuing studies in a variety of fields, including but not limited to artificial intelligence, computer science and technology, as well as basic sciences. Specific research areas of interest encompass foundational large models, visual intelligence, and other cutting-edge AI technologies. Since its inception in 2021, the ByteDance Scholarship has provided financial assistance to a total of 67 outstanding young researchers. Its primary objective is to identify and nurture promising young scholars in the realm of science and technology, fostering the next generation of innovators and leaders.
