On May 13, Alibaba unveiled its financial results for the fourth quarter of the 2026 fiscal year, revealing robust growth in its AI-driven business. During this quarter, Alibaba Cloud's revenue soared to RMB 41.626 billion, marking a year-on-year increase of 38%. Notably, revenue from external commercialization surged by 40%. Among these figures, revenue derived from AI-related products amounted to RMB 8.971 billion, representing over 30% of the external revenue for the first time, with annualized revenue surpassing RMB 35.8 billion. Alibaba executive Wu Yongming remarked that AI has transitioned from the initial investment stage and has now officially entered the phase of commercial returns. He anticipates that the revenue share of AI-related products will exceed 50% in the coming year, positioning AI as the primary growth driver for Alibaba.
