On May 13, during the Dimensity Developer Conference 2026, MediaTek made an official announcement regarding the launch of the Dimensity AI Agent Engine 2.0. By harnessing the power of Dimensity SensingClaw technology, this engine facilitates low-power, always-on sensing functionality. This, in turn, empowers device manufacturers to develop an Agent OS that boasts proactive sensing capabilities and the ability to drive cross-application operations. In addition to this, MediaTek also introduced the Dimensity AI Development Kit 3.0, which enhances the full-modality capabilities for on-device agents. This upgrade is aimed at expediting the deployment of agent applications at the edge and boosting the performance of on-device AI.
