On May 11, Langboat Technology, in a collaborative effort with Tsinghua University and the OpenBMB open-source community, formally unveiled and open-sourced the latest iteration of its on-device multimodal large model, MiniCPM-V 4.6. Boasting 1.3 billion parameters, this model operates seamlessly on end-user devices equipped with a mere 6GB of memory, surpassing the performance of mainstream models of a comparable scale. It has been made fully accessible as open-source software on platforms like GitHub.
