Following the dissolution of xAI, Musk is now busy setting up a new entity named SpaceXAI, for which he has already filed a trademark registration application, effectively incorporating xAI into SpaceX. SpaceX has submitted two trademark applications for SpaceXAI: one centers on space computing power, while the other has a wider range of applications. In February this year, SpaceX finalized the acquisition of xAI, which will be rebranded as SpaceXAI at the start of the month. The establishment of SpaceXAI signifies the fulfillment of Musk's ambition to merge AI capabilities with space infrastructure. He intends to deploy one million satellites to construct a distributed AI data center and push forward with independent chip development. Furthermore, SpaceX has made fresh strides in ground computing infrastructure, with the Colossus 1 data center already opening up its computing resources to Anthropic. However, questions linger as to whether this business venture can establish a solid footing, and it also confronts a multitude of technical hurdles.
