On May 8, reporters discovered that the National Energy Administration, in collaboration with the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the National Data Administration, has unveiled the Action Plan for Fostering Mutual Enhancement Between Artificial Intelligence and Energy. This plan envisions that by 2030, there will be substantial enhancements in the clean energy supply assurance capabilities for AI computing power facilities, as well as in the application levels of AI within the energy sector. This will pave the way for a new era characterized by mutual empowerment and profound integration between AI and energy. The plan delineates 29 pivotal tasks, encompassing areas such as securing energy supply for computing facilities, advancing green and low-carbon transformations, facilitating the synergy between computing power and electricity, and unlocking high-value application scenarios.
