The UK-based AI startup Ineffable Intelligence, founded by David Silver, a former core researcher at Google DeepMind, recently announced the completion of a $1.1 billion seed funding round, reaching a post-money valuation of $5.1 billion and setting a record for the largest seed funding round in European history. This funding round was co-led by Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from NVIDIA, Google, and the UK's sovereign AI fund, among others. Ineffable Intelligence focuses on foundational technologies for artificial general intelligence (AGI), pursuing a 'super learner' approach aimed at enabling AI to learn autonomously from experience, reducing reliance on human-generated data.
