At present, his consulting position lacks an official title, but its true worth lies in his expertise in team-building. Giannandrea previously managed a range of projects at Apple and also headed search and AI initiatives at Google. He intends to offer consulting services to several AI startups, though it’s still uncertain whether this is a temporary setup or a permanent move. Moreover, his time at Apple has drawn mixed feedback, as the company has been sluggish in riding the generative AI wave, with some of its features still dependent on Google’s technology.
