According to sources familiar with the matter, Peter Hoeschele, an executive who was involved in launching OpenAI's Stargate data center project, has left the company. Previously, OpenAI abandoned plans to build its own data center due to financing challenges and issues with the joint venture structure, opting instead to lease computing resources from other suppliers. Late last year, OpenAI appointed a new head of computing and infrastructure, Sachin Katti, and several executives, including Hoeschele, were transferred to his team. After the reorganization, Hoeschele was responsible for work related to the 'Ecosystem and Partnerships for Industrial Computing' (Epic). Katti could not be reached for comment.
