The German polling agency Dimap, commissioned by German public broadcaster ARD, conducted a telephone or online survey of 1,316 German adults from March 30 to 31. The survey results released on April 1 show that over 90% of Germans are concerned about AI being used for deepfakes, with 53% believing the risk is 'very high' and 38% considering it 'high.' The respondents are also worried about the difficulty in identifying AI-generated fake news, AI replacing jobs, and other issues. Additionally, 38% of the respondents believe that AI will improve their lives in the next five years, while 45% think it will make their lives worse, with 51% of the young group aged 18 to 34 believing that AI can improve their lives.
