Developed within the Antigravity programming framework, this tool is designed to facilitate asynchronous code development and automate various tasks. Owing to the exceptional level of interest from employees, which resulted in server congestion, Google has introduced access limitations for the tool. Agent Smith is capable of running independently in the background, enabling employees to oversee its progress remotely or issue commands via their mobile devices. It can also be activated directly through Google's internal chat platform. Additionally, the tool has the ability to access employee profiles to gather pertinent documents, thereby substantially boosting the efficiency of engineering development. Google's co-founder, Sergey Brin, has underscored that AI agents will be a central area of focus for the company this year. Moreover, CEO Sundar Pichai has integrated the utilization of AI tools into the performance assessment criteria for specific roles, aiming to foster the adoption of internal technology.
