According to estimates from a research firm, YouTube’s advertising revenue is projected to reach $40.4 billion in 2025, surpassing the combined total of Disney, NBC, Paramount, and Warner Bros. Discovery—a significant leap from 2024, when it trailed behind these four major companies. At present, traditional studios are struggling to keep up, while YouTube is widening its lead. Its total revenue is expected to surge to $60 billion in 2025, with a portion coming from subscription services. Though its ad revenue still falls short of industry giants like Meta, advertisers continue to flock to the platform. In the fourth quarter alone, YouTube’s ad revenue hit $11.4 billion. Additionally, the company has ramped up its investment in artificial intelligence, recently announcing the expansion of facial similarity detection technology to a pilot group.
