Stanford University in the U.S. is experiencing a unique form of 'tech allure'—every Tuesday at 9 p.m. sharp, more than 5,000 undergraduate students eagerly launch the AI-powered dating app, Date Drop, eagerly anticipating algorithm-driven romantic connections. This innovative app was created in roughly three weeks by Henry Weng, a Chinese postgraduate student at Stanford. To utilize the app, users must respond to 66 multiple-choice questions regarding their values, lifestyles, and political views, which the system then uses to facilitate matches.
