Following its $20 billion bond issuance in the United States, Alphabet is issuing at least $9.4 billion in GBP and Swiss franc-denominated bonds, including an extremely rare 100-year GBP bond. The GBP bond issuance is expected to reach a record £4.5 billion (approximately $6.2 billion), with maturities ranging from 3 to 32 years and a 100-year tranche. This 100-year bond marks the first issuance of such ultra-long-dated debt by a tech company since Motorola in 1997.
