Xinhua News Agency, Paris, February 10 — According to the Digital Barometer (2026 Edition) survey report published by the French Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority on the 9th, the proportion of French individuals utilizing generative AI surged to roughly 48% in 2025. This marks a notable increase from the previous year, with the usage rate among young adults aged 18 to 24 soaring as high as 85%. The survey, which was carried out collaboratively by multiple departments in June 2025, assessed the utilization of digital devices and technologies among the French populace through a questionnaire. It encompassed a total of 4,145 participants aged 12 and above. The report further disclosed that 34% of the respondents engage with generative AI on a daily basis, mainly to save time and boost work efficiency. However, 64% of them take the step to verify the authenticity of the information generated by these AI systems.
