Autodesk has brought a lawsuit against Google, alleging infringement of its 'Flow' trademark. Autodesk asserts that it has been utilizing the name 'Flow' for its products associated with visual effects, production management, and related areas since September 2022. In May 2025, Google introduced a software also named Flow, aimed at the same customer demographic and specifically targeting the AI sector within film, television, and video game production—a development that caught Autodesk off guard. Presently, Autodesk has lodged a complaint with the U.S. Federal Court in San Francisco.
