On February 7, Tang Wenkang, the Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, declared that Shanghai enjoys four significant advantages in the realm of artificial intelligence: collaborative industrial clusters, ultra-large urban scenarios, a rich pool of talent, and a well-rounded industrial financing system. Looking ahead, Shanghai will concentrate on ongoing enhancements in three key areas:
Firstly, bolstering the industrial chain. Shanghai commands nearly 10% of the nation's computing power, operates the country's pioneering public service platform for corpora, has introduced 138 registered large-scale models, and achieved breakthroughs in multiple intelligent computing chips. In recent years, Shanghai has annually issued computing vouchers, corpus vouchers, and model vouchers worth 1 billion yuan, and has rolled out initiatives like "Model Acceleration in Shanghai, Model Power Convergence in Shanghai, Model-Driven Smart Travel," and AI4S "100 Teams, 100 Projects."
Especially in the field of embodied artificial intelligence, nearly 40 humanoid robots in Shanghai have made the leap from laboratories to everyday life, energizing the real economy. Last year, Shanghai-based Zhiyuan (Zhiyuan) claimed the top spot globally in terms of humanoid robot shipments.
