On January 20, a report from the Sci-Tech Innovation Board Daily revealed that artificial intelligence firm Moonshot AI is in the final stages of securing a new round of financing. This round comes with a pre-investment valuation of a staggering US$4.8 billion (equivalent to roughly RMB 33.503 billion). As of now, the company has chosen to remain tight-lipped and hasn't issued any official comments. Looking back, Moonshot AI had successfully wrapped up a Series C funding round in December 2025, raising US$500 million and achieving a post-investment valuation of US$4.3 billion.
