Silicon Valley-based company Kilo announced during the release of its latest programming product, Slack, that it would switch its default model to the domestic large-scale model MiniMax M2.1. It is reported that in the community AI benchmark testing open platform LMArena, M2.1 ranks fourth, following OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. Kilo processes an average of six trillion tokens per month, has attracted significant attention and capital over the past year, and secured an $8 million seed funding round in December 2025 from investors including Breakers, Cota Capital, General Catalyst, Quiet Capital, and Tokyo Black.
