Huawei Korea has declared that it will officially roll out its artificial intelligence chip, the 'Ascend 950', in the South Korean market next year. This move marks its all - round entry into South Korea's AI infrastructure market. The company is set to deliver end - to - end full - stack solutions to South Korean enterprises, presenting an alternative to NVIDIA.

At the 'Huawei Day 2025' event, Balian Wang, the CEO of Huawei Korea, disclosed this strategic plan. He mentioned that AI computing cards and solutions related to data centers will be introduced and marketed in a clustered manner. This approach aims to expedite industrial applications and offer directly integrated services. At present, negotiations regarding supply agreements with potential customers are in progress.

Moreover, Huawei is also planning to supply its self - developed open - source operating system, 'HarmonyOS', in South Korea next year to foster ecosystem growth. This operating system is compatible with smartphones and smart home devices. However, Huawei has no intention of launching smartphones in South Korea next year.
