Google recently made an announcement stating that it will gradually phase out Google Assistant as its voice - assistant and replace it with the AI - powered Gemini. Starting from March 2026, Google Assistant will no longer be in service. At present, Gemini has been successfully integrated into multiple core operating systems, offering the necessary technical support to ensure a smooth transition for users.

Before March 2026, Android system users will still be able to use Google Assistant as usual and freely toggle between the two voice - assistants. Since 2024, Google has already taken the initiative to start migrating features in advance.
