As reported by ZDNet, Google has recently revealed that its video editing platform, Vids, is now extending access to three pivotal AI-driven features to all Gmail users. These include AI voice synthesis, audio refinement, and image editing tools. Previously, these capabilities were exclusively available to subscribers with paid accounts.
Notably, the audio refinement feature can automatically detect and eliminate filler words and silent passages longer than 1 second within videos. Practical tests indicate that this functionality can condense an 85-second video clip to just 63 seconds. The AI voice synthesis module presents seven voice alternatives, most of which boast natural intonation, making them well-suited for educational and commercial video projects. Meanwhile, the image editing tool incorporates background removal, text generation prompts, and the ability to animate still images.
