Several credible sources have revealed that Jeff Bezos, the former CEO of Amazon, is poised to take on the role of co-CEO at an artificial intelligence startup dubbed 'Project Prometheus.' This move signifies his first foray into an operational capacity since he relinquished his position as Amazon's CEO in 2021. The startup is dedicated to harnessing AI for engineering and manufacturing applications across diverse sectors, including computing, aerospace, and automotive industries.
Having secured an impressive seed funding round of $6.2 billion, 'Project Prometheus' stands out as one of the most generously financed startups in the field. Bezos's co-leader, Vik Bajaj, is a distinguished physicist and chemist who boasts a close working relationship with Sergey Brin during his tenure at Google X. Presently, the company has onboarded close to a hundred researchers, a significant portion of whom hail from prominent organizations such as OpenAI.
