At the 40th Anniversary Restoration Forum for Leaders of Change hosted by Fudan School of Management, Zhao Ming, the former CEO of Honor Device Co., Ltd., engaged in a thought-provoking dialogue with Lu Xiongwen, the Dean of the School of Management at Fudan University. Their discussion covered a wide range of topics, including AI technology and evolving business models. During this conversation, Zhao Ming delved into the tumultuous early days of Honor's independence and shared his personal psychological journey. He recounted how, in the face of Huawei's sanctions in 2019, he made a conscious decision to stand firmly by the company's side and collectively weather the storm. Despite internal turmoil and uncertainty within the company at that time, Zhao Ming firmly believed that it was imperative to confront this critical juncture alongside his team. The sale process of Honor was remarkably swift, wrapping up in approximately a month. When it came time to sign the contract at the end of September, Zhao Ming symbolically marked Honor's newfound independence. He acknowledged that parting ways was a challenging decision, yet emphasized that each generation bears its unique set of responsibilities and missions.
