On October 31, 2025, all the major A-share indices witnessed a collective downturn. The Shanghai Composite Index slumped 0.81% to settle at 3,954 points. Meanwhile, the Shenzhen Component Index, ChiNext Index, and STAR 50 Index also experienced declines. The overall trading volume across the market amounted to 2.35 trillion yuan, marking a reduction of 114.5 billion yuan compared to the previous trading day. Interestingly, over 3,700 stocks managed to close in the green. On the trading floor, sectors like AI language data, innovative pharmaceuticals, and biological products showcased robust performance, with numerous stocks reaching their daily upper limits.
