On October 29th, during the afternoon trading session on the U.S. stock market, shares of NVIDIA (NVDA.O) experienced a significant 6% uptick, propelling its market capitalization to exceed $4.9 trillion for the inaugural time. This remarkable surge in stock price was predominantly propelled by the unveiling of the company's fresh collaborative ventures and the favorable market reception to CEO Jensen Huang's keynote address at the GTC Conference held in Washington.
Specifically, NVIDIA has forged a strategic alliance with pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly to co-construct a state-of-the-art supercomputer tailored for the medical sector, aimed at expediting the discovery of novel pharmaceuticals. In tandem with this, Huang introduced the groundbreaking NVQLink interconnection technology, designed to facilitate seamless and efficient communication between quantum processors and AI supercomputers. He dubbed this innovation the "Rosetta Stone" that bridges the gap between these two cutting-edge domains.
Furthermore, NVIDIA is set to embark on a collaborative journey with the U.S. Department of Energy to construct seven new AI supercomputers. Additionally, the company will inject $1 billion into Nokia to foster AI-driven cooperation, securing a 2.9% equity stake in Nokia upon the completion of the transaction. During his speech, Huang also dispelled concerns regarding the existence of an AI bubble.
