On October 18, 2025, the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) released the Report on the Development of Generative AI Applications (2025) at the 6th China Internet Infrastructure Resources Conference. According to the report, as of June 2025, China's generative AI user base had reached 515 million, an increase of 266 million from December 2024, with a penetration rate of 36.5%. Domestically developed generative AI large models are widely favored by users, with over 90% of users preferring domestic large models. Generative AI is extensively applied in various scenarios such as intelligent search, content creation, and office assistance, and is actively being explored and practiced in fields including agriculture, industry, and scientific research.
