GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. has recently announced a recall notice affecting certain models of the 9th generation Camry, Levin, Lingshang, and Fenglanda. The reasons for this recall encompass two primary issues: Firstly, improper settings in the control program of the combination instrument may lead to the instrument panel going black upon initial vehicle startup, hindering the normal display of critical information such as vehicle speed and warning lights, thereby posing a safety risk. Secondly, a heat treatment issue during the manufacturing process of some Camry models has resulted in inadequate strength of the front suspension coil spring, which could potentially break in extreme circumstances, adversely affecting the vehicle's driving stability. To mitigate these risks, GAC Toyota will offer a free upgrade of the combination instrument's control program or conduct inspections and replacements of the coil spring for the affected vehicles within the recall scope.
