Stellantis (Shanghai) Automobile Co., Ltd. has issued a recall for 3,339 all-new Grand Cherokee 4xe vehicles imported between February 15, 2023, and September 21, 2023. The recall is necessitated by a potential issue with the pins of the air conditioning blower motor connector, which may become damaged. This damage could impair the functionality of the defrosting and demisting systems. In extreme scenarios, reduced visibility for the driver may result, thereby escalating the risk of accidents. To address this concern, the company will conduct inspections and replace any affected components at no cost to the customers, ensuring the elimination of potential safety hazards.
