BYD has unveiled an enhanced fifth-generation DM technology, setting a new global benchmark with a fuel consumption rate of just 2.6 liters per 100 kilometers under NEDC conditions when the battery is low. This groundbreaking technology has received certification from reputable institutions and will initially be rolled out via OTA updates for the Qin DM-i and Seal 06DM-i models, with subsequent expansion to other fifth-generation DM vehicles. Once installed, the upgrade automatically activates, enabling drivers to experience reduced fuel consumption without altering their driving routines. Leveraging AI models, BYD has fine-tuned fuel-saving strategies across over 1.8 million driving scenarios, significantly enhancing system efficiency. Regarding fourth-generation DM vehicle owners, BYD has assured that it will actively evaluate the feasibility of providing a technological upgrade.
