According to the Wuhan Development Zone (Hannan District) Land and Resources Planning Bureau, Hovo Auto has successfully completed the acquisition of the Wuhan Yunfeng plant for a sum of 723 million yuan. This facility boasts an annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles, with the potential to expand to 300,000 units. It encompasses five key manufacturing processes, including stamping and welding, and is capable of producing both pure electric and hybrid vehicle models. It is anticipated that the initial batch of Hovo Auto Zhiyin models will commence production at this plant in September 2024.

Li Boxiao, Deputy General Manager of Hovo Auto Sales and Service Co., Ltd., disclosed that amidst the surging demand for FREE+ orders and the production requirements for new products, Hovo Auto has embarked on the construction of its second plant, the Yunfeng plant. Furthermore, the company will prioritize the production capacity of its first plant, the Hovo Auto Golden Factory, for the FREE+ model.
