At the 2025 China Automotive Forum, Yin Tongyue, Chairman of Chery Automobile, remarked that the automotive sector is reevaluating the dynamics of internal competition, with Chery Automobile not spared from the turmoil of price wars. He highlighted that while the industry historically emphasized sales volume and speed, it is now imperative to upgrade brands, management, innovation, and services. Yin Tongyue appealed to the government to steer enterprises towards this upgrade and extend steadfast support. Addressing the enthusiasm among automakers to venture abroad, he expressed his hope that the government, industry associations, and the media will collaborate to foster a sustainable and structured framework for overseas market expansion.
