The initial batch of wind turbines in China's farthest offshore wind power project, the Three Gorges Dafeng Offshore Wind Power Project in Jiangsu, has successfully been integrated into the grid. Situated in the maritime region of Dafeng District, Yancheng, Jiangsu, this project boasts a farthest point from the shore stretching an impressive 85,500 meters. It comprises 98 wind turbines, collectively boasting an installed capacity of 800 MW. Upon its completion, it is anticipated to produce over 2.6 billion kWh of electricity annually, catering to the yearly electricity needs of approximately 1.1 million households. This milestone signifies a significant advancement in China's offshore wind power sector, particularly in the realm of deep and distant seas.
