In the year 2024, the Toyota RAV4 emerged as the world's top-selling car model, narrowly edging out the Tesla Model Y by approximately 1.187 million units sold globally. This achievement marks a significant milestone for the RAV4, which has now secured the title of the world's best-selling car model. The Tesla Model Y, meanwhile, sold around 1.185 million units, experiencing a 3% year-on-year decline. Notably, Toyota secured five positions within the top ten best-selling car models list. The Tesla Model 3 ranked ninth, with sales increasing by 10% to approximately 560,000 units. Rounding out the top ten was the BYD Qin, which sold around 502,000 units, representing a 6% year-on-year growth.
