Between January and May 2025, China's automobile exports to Africa witnessed a remarkable surge, tallying an impressive 222,000 units. This represents a year-on-year growth of 67%, underscoring the robust expansion of China's automotive presence in the continent. Notably, May alone contributed 58,000 units to this tally, marking a stunning year-on-year increase of 104% and emerging as a standout moment in China's automotive export history. According to data shared by Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the Passenger Car Association, Africa stands out as the most prominent destination for Chinese car exports, emphasizing the formidable competitiveness of Chinese vehicles in the African market.
