AYANEO has shared its latest developments, including the "Konkr Pocket Block," which serves as a compact remake of the Game Boy that features artificial intelligence.
AYANEO CEO Arthur Zhang revealed the Konkr Pocket Block during one of the company's product sharing sessions, which showed off the latest handheld consoles of the company, including a vertical one.
The Konkr Pocket Block introduces a new experience for all, featuring heavy retro influences and aesthetics, as well as a smaller form factor.
The Konkr Pocket Block combines retro aesthetics with a cyber-inspired design language meant to recreate the pure joy of handheld gaming within an exceptionally compact and lightweight body. According to AYANEO, gamers may easily pull up the Konkr Pocket Block during a daily commute or a brief break as it is designed to be picked up and deliver quick gaming sessions.
AYANEO's Konkr Pocket Block offers a wide library of games to players as it is an Android gaming handheld, giving it access to massive games on the platform. The Konkr Pocket Block is also cheaper compared to other handhelds as it starts at $269 because it falls under the company's sub-brand, KONKR.
AYANEO describes the Pocket Block as a device that integrates AI-driven concepts and features, making it a highly personalized portable gaming device designed for self-expression.
The company has framed the release as part of a broader shift from AYANEO Gaming to what it calls AYANEO AI, which also marks the company's focus on delivering innovative AI experiences rather than being a gaming hardware company.
AYANEO did not elaborate on what makes the Konkr Pocket Block the world's first AI handheld during the reveal, and the specifics are expected to come in a future announcement.
The company aims for the Konkr Pocket Block to deliver a smarter and more immersive gaming experience while staying true to the essence of portable gaming. Pre-order details and hardware specs have not been shared yet as of press time.
