Peng Jun, CEO of Pony.ai, announced that the company aims to trial its seventh-generation Robotaxi in Singapore this year, contributing to the nation's efforts to establish a smart urban transportation system. Additionally, Singapore's ComfortDelGro is contemplating the introduction of a small-scale autonomous taxi service to ease manpower and vehicle supply constraints. Currently, the two entities have collaborated on a joint autonomous ride-hailing service project in Guangzhou, aiming to expedite the commercialization of Robotaxi services.
