Kunming has unveiled comprehensive new guidelines for the regulation of online ride-hailing operations and services, effective from August 1. These regulations mandate that all new energy vehicles engaged in online ride-hailing must be listed in the nationally recommended catalog, with a minimum taxable purchase price of 100,000 yuan for pure electric vehicles and 150,000 yuan for fuel (gasoline, hybrid) vehicles. Drivers are required to hold the relevant driver's license, possess at least three years of driving experience, be under 65 years of age, have no history of traffic accidents, drunk driving, drug abuse, etc., and must successfully complete a qualification exam before being licensed to operate. Furthermore, the detailed rules also encompass regulations governing the operational conduct of online ride-hailing platform companies.
