On June 24, Reuters reported that Tesla had informed U.S. regulators, via a letter, that its response concerning the safety of deploying autonomous taxis (Robotaxi) in Texas constituted confidential business information and was therefore not to be disclosed. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) stated that it was reviewing Tesla's response and would take necessary measures to ensure road safety following its evaluation.
