Currently, all automotive manufacturers offer assisted driving systems categorized at Level L2, which do not support fully autonomous driving. When utilizing these systems, drivers must remain attentive throughout the journey, as negligence can lead to accidents. Recently, the Hunan Expressway Police reported an incident where a driver placed excessive trust in the assisted driving function and failed to monitor the situation, resulting in a car crash. Despite the enhanced safety features of Level L2 assisted driving, drivers must remain vigilant and prepared to respond to emergencies at any moment.
