On June 22, Tesla unveiled its inaugural Robotaxi service in Austin, Texas, USA. Initially, the service will involve approximately 10 vehicles, operating daily from 6 am to midnight within a designated geofenced area. Each Robotaxi is built on the Model Y platform and staffed with both safety operators and remote operators to ensure safety and efficiency. This pilot service is currently invitation-only, with a flat fare set at $4.20. Tesla CEO Elon Musk hailed the launch, lauding it as the culmination of a decade of diligent effort by the team.
