As reported by The New York Times, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority has opted to replace over 60 Tesla Supercharger stations along its highways, stemming from the expiration of a contract. In 2020, Tesla had entered into an agreement with the authority to install 64 Supercharger stations across 8 locations, but these will now be superseded by charging infrastructure supplied by a different company.
