Xiaomi Motors has made another significant addition to its autonomous driving division with the appointment of Chen Guang as the new Head of Autonomous Driving Perception. Chen Guang, who previously served as the CTO of FAW Nanjing Research Institute, will report directly to Ye Hangjun, the Head of Autonomous Driving. Prior to Chen Guang's appointment, the role was held by Cai Rui, who has since transitioned to the robotics department.
During his tenure at FAW Nanjing Research Institute, Chen Guang was instrumental in the research and development of autonomous driving technology and architecture design. Under his leadership, the team successfully developed the third-generation L4 fully autonomous Robotaxi for FAW Hongqi, marking a significant milestone in the field of autonomous vehicle development.
