Liu Yangwei, the Chairman of Foxconn, disclosed that the company is on the cusp of announcing a partnership with a second Japanese automaker, further solidifying its presence in the electric vehicle (EV) industry. Earlier, Foxconn's subsidiary, FIH Mobile, had established a cooperative venture with Mitsubishi Motors, aiming to supply EV models. Foxconn places significant emphasis on its collaborations with Japanese enterprises and aspires to deepen these ties through equity stakes in Nissan and other strategic initiatives. FIH Mobile, a joint venture between Foxconn and Yulon, currently serves as the primary provider of EV services for Luxgen.
