Toyota intends to commence production of two fully electric vehicle models in the United States from 2025 onwards, with ambitions to introduce a total of seven electric vehicle models to the US market by mid-2027. The company foresees sustained growth in the American electric vehicle landscape and is contemplating exporting any excess production capacity. Furthermore, its battery manufacturing facility in North Carolina is set to commence supplying lithium-ion batteries by the close of this year.
