On May 29, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) announced its 2025 work plan for regulation formulation. Among the projects scheduled for ministerial affairs meeting deliberation this year are the Interim Measures for the Comprehensive Utilization Management of Scrap Power Batteries from New Energy Vehicles and the Interim Measures for Total Volume Control Management of Rare Earth Mining and Rare Earth Smelting Separation. Additionally, MIIT is intensifying efforts to research and draft the Measures for the Administration of Recycling and Comprehensive Utilization of Lithium-ion Batteries from Electric Bicycles, as well as the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of Approval for Domestic Entities Renting Overseas Satellite Resources.
