In April, Japanese auto exports plummeted by 5.8% as a result of higher tariffs imposed by the United States. This downturn was accompanied by a similar decrease in the export of automotive components. Despite Japan's overall exports registering a seven-month consecutive growth of 2.0%, exports to the U.S. suffered a year-on-year decline of 1.8%.
