In April, China's production of power batteries and other battery types amounted to 118.2GWh, experiencing a marginal decline of 0.03% compared to the previous month but witnessing a robust 49.0% increase year-on-year. Sales figures tell a similar story, with a total of 118.1GWh sold, indicating a 2.3% month-on-month rise and a substantial 73.5% jump year-on-year. Breaking down these sales, power batteries accounted for 73.4% of the total, or 86.6GWh, which represents a slight 1.0% drop from March but a significant 72.8% growth compared to April 2021. Meanwhile, sales of other battery types amounted to 31.5GWh, comprising 26.6% of the total, and showing a positive trend with a 12.5% month-on-month increase and a 75.5% year-on-year surge. From January to April, cumulative production reached 444.6GWh, marking a robust 67.1% year-on-year growth.
