On May 9, the Turkish Embassy in China announced that, according to data from the Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB), Turkey's auto industry exports soared to $3.14 billion in April, marking a 15% year-on-year increase and setting a fresh monthly record. The automotive sector contributes 15% to Turkey's overall exports, with the supplier industry group leading the way with exports nearing $1.3 billion. Conversely, passenger car exports dipped by 4% to $895 million, whereas exports of buses, minibuses, and midibuses rose by 9% to reach $240 million.
