In March 2025, wholesale sales of A00 cars reached 133,100 units, accounting for 12.72% of the overall wholesale market share. This represents an 87% increase year-on-year and a 14% rise month-on-month. Retail sales, meanwhile, surged by 73% year-on-year and 45% month-on-month. Cui Dongshu highlighted that the A00 car market is experiencing a revival reminiscent of the competitive landscape from two decades ago, with notable standouts from brands like Xiali, Chery, Geely, Changan, and BYD. More recently, new A00 models introduced by BYD, Geely, Changan, Chery, FAW Besturn, and other manufacturers have shown exceptional performance, underscoring the significant growth potential within the micro electric vehicle segment.
